The following is a sample of some words that are at least three times as frequent (per million words) in the TV Corpus as they are in the spoken part of the British National Corpus (BNC). As this list indicates, the TV Corpus has a lot more words dealing with everyday life and personal relationships (as well as profanity) than the more formal spoken language in the BNC.
