The price for the premium licenses increased in January 2024. This was the first
price increase since early 2018 -- more than six years ago. Nevertheless, the
price increases were less than the rate of inflation during the same period:

Note that for renewals, the prices are even
lower -- $29.95 for one year (a savings of $5.00), $54.95 for two years (a
savings of $10.00), and $74.95 for three years (a savings of $15.00,
with a resulting cost of less than $25/year for a three year license).
Note also that our costs have gone up
significantly during this same time (2018-2024). Before March 2019, the
corpora were at Brigham Young University. It was essentially free to have
them there, and BYU paid for new equipment and software. In March 2019,
the
corpora were moved off-campus to a colocation site. Since that time, we have
used the income from licenses to pay monthly fees for the colocation facility, as well as
paying for new equipment and software.
We hope that you will understand the need for this
increase in the cost of the premium licenses -- the first
increase in more than six years.
